l'm a Writing Instructor for the University of California, Davis and the University's Continuing and Professional Education program. I have previously taught writing for California State University, Sacramento; Sacramento City College; the federal Job Corps program; and K-12 districts throughout California.
Continuing and Professional Education Program
University of California, Davis
I develop and deliver customized writing trainings and resources for both public agencies and private firms throughout California. In 2016 my efforts "on behalf of continuing education and partnerships" were recognized with UC Davis Extension's Outstanding Service Award.
University Writing Program

I teach upper division courses in specialized Professional Writing, including Business Writing, Writing in Science Professions, and Writing in Environmental Sciences. I have also served on the program's Curriculum Committee, designing and proposing elective writing courses aligned with the specific UC Davis pre-professional programs.
CSU Sacramento
English Department
I taught College Composition and Writing for Multilingual Students. I also designed customized materials and provided supplemental writing instruction in individual and small group settings for returning students and veterans under a federal grant.
Sacramento City College
SCC Writing Center
I trained and supervised student writing tutors in the Learning Resources division, led small-group writing workshops, and supervised Writing Center lab hours. I also developed and delivered classroom presentations on composition, usage, and citation styles as part of the college’s Writing Across the Curriculum program.
